Practiced flash photography on different settings and conditions.
Here is Ah Ma:

The above is done with a bright sunlit background. Ah Ma would just be a silhouette without flash to be used as fill-in. Making use of the ceiling, the flash is bounced directly above and spread out over Ah Ma to create a natural and softer lighting condition.
This is Father:

As seen here, using the wireless ability of the camera and flash (in this case: D70 and SB600), lighting can be manipulated from a different direction to create a different mood and feel. Here, I used the flash diffused and pointed straight up at his face from the bottom right, where he is facing in the photo.
He was watching a programme on the tele and, hopefully, the lighting can give a sense of what he was doing when this moment in time was frozen.
The black and white conversion should give a clearer picture of the direction, strength and spread of the light, and the play with shadows.

It rained the whole of yesterday afternoon. Took out the D70 to practise taking some shots outside the house, just under shelter, under the poor lighting conditions, handheld.
Rain Kept Me Away

There were chores to be done
But the rain had to come
It kept the car wash at bay

The plants stood there
Bidding me to come
But I had to stay away

It's slowing down now
As the end draws near
The sun will be back, she vowed

The rainbow will rise
And the ground will dry
The colours shall return again soon

I need to have more steady hands and work on my photo composition ALOT more.
Of course, I probably need to think of better words to accompany the photos instead of the nonsensical rambling I wrote (washing cars and tending to plants?).

Took out the camera for some practise today and created this:

The Number Seven
Its name is Seven
The perfect number
On the back of legends it belong
Georgie Best used to wear it
Bryan Robson, David Beckham
And the one they call Eric the Great
A god, they named him
An artist I say
He brought beauty to the beautiful game
"Ooh! Ahh! Cantona!" Old Trafford would sing
Even today his name still rings
His influence over all would never wane
On his back laid the number
That very perfect number
On the back of legends it belong
Shot under sunlight in the backyard and post processed with Photshop CS2. Desaturated and left only with some red, the colour of Manchester United, to give the feel of a past legend.
Reflection: Focus is abit off and desaturating the colours made it impossible to tell that the figurine is placed on a grass patch.

Photos of my watch collection
My first mechanical watch, a Russian made Buran Moonphase, on the Poljot 31679 movement:

Here, you can see the movement through the clear caseback:

Here is my favourite! THE Sinn U1:

My Rolex Datejust, with Mother of Pearl dial, for dressier occasions:

And finally, a joint photoshoot ^^:
